nutrition.mcbflow.com is a calorie, macro, hydration and supplement tracker. You don't need an account: everything works and saves on your device. If you choose to, you can sign in with a free mcbflow.com account to sync across your devices. There are no analytics, ads or tracking scripts.

What stays on your device

Everything you enter (meals, drinks, recipes, supplements, your targets, and the age, height, weight, sex and body-fat figures you type in for the calculator) is saved in your browser's storage on this device. Unless you sign in to sync, it isn't sent to us, and we can't see it.

• nutrition: your log, saved foods, drinks, recipes, supplements, targets and settings
• nutrition.theme: light or dark
• nutrition.seen: that the welcome screen was shown
• nutrition.ui: the Library tab you last opened
• nutrition.sync and sb-…-auth-token (only while you're signed in to sync): which records have synced, and your sign-in
• IndexedDB nutrition.backup: in Chrome and Edge, the backup file you picked for Save backup now (the browser keeps a reference to the file, not its contents)

Clearing your browser's site data, or Data → Clear all data… in the app, removes your data. If you install the app or use it offline, your browser also keeps a copy of the app's own files (not your data) so it opens without a connection.

What leaves your device

Nothing you enter, with one exception you control. The app loads its own files from nutrition.mcbflow.com, including the food database, which is the same file for everyone and is searched on your device. Links on the Help page (USDA, FDA and research sources) open those sites only if you tap them.

Brand search. When you tap Search brands online while logging food, the words you typed are sent to Open Food Facts (opens in a new tab), a free volunteer database of packaged foods, so it can send back matching products. Like any website, Open Food Facts also receives your IP address and browser type with that request. Nothing else is sent: not your log, targets, age, weight or any other setting. You can turn this off in Settings → Search brands online.

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub receives the standard request information every website receives (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the pages. See GitHub's privacy statement (opens in a new tab).

Optional sync

If you sign in with a free mcbflow.com account (Data → Sync), your log, saved foods, drinks, recipes, supplements, usual day, targets and settings, including the age, height, weight, sex and body-fat figures you entered, are copied to your account so your other devices match. Your theme, Library tab and last-backup time stay on each device. The account database is run by Supabase (servers in the eastern United States); only your account can read your records. Signing out stops syncing and keeps the data on this device. You can export or delete your synced data, or delete your account, on the mcbflow.com account page. Exports and backups

Data → Save backup now, Export All (JSON) and Export All (CSV) save a file to a place you choose (or to your Downloads folder in browsers that don't let a site pick a location). The file stays with you. Import Backup reads a file you pick, on your device.

Sharing images

Share cards are drawn on your device. Nothing is uploaded; the image goes only where you send or save it, and amounts stay off the card unless you turn them on.

Children

The app isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect their personal information. Its calorie calculator only gives targets for adults.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
